POETRY

Ipswich Writes and Speaks

Ipswich has a proud history of poetry that goes back to the founding of the town in 1634, and continues in our schools and community. Town events often feature “poetry on the go” stands with high school students creating verse while you wait; our local poetry group is a venerable institution that meets monthly. Other yearly events, like VERSE/VISUAL explore the place where word and image meet. Get poetic with us!
